Micro injection molding

Micro injection molding at Hahn-Schickard includes the areas of micro-precision parts, microstructure parts, and high-precision, even large area parts with tolerances in the micron range. With this technique, filigree parts <0.001 g, optical elements, microfluidic systems, and high-precision MID parts can be manufactured.

Thermoset injection molding

Thermosets are particularly resistant plastics that can no longer be thermally formed after curing. A whole range of advantages open up interesting perspectives for the material. These advantages include chemical resistance and the low viscosity. Such properties enable gentle encapsulation of electronic components and implementation in harsh ambient conditions.

Hot embossing

Hot embossing of functional models is an established standard technique at Hahn-Schickard. Hot embossing for polymers makes it possible to translate your ideas into functional models at very low tooling costs. Consequently the technology is particularly well-suited as a preliminary stage to injection molding or for the injection molding of prototypes.

Rapid tooling of die inserts

Utilization of additive manufacturing for the production of injection die inserts opens the possibility to manufacture prototypes out of real material. Die inserts are suitable for small-scale series production through use of a filled material, and design and layout that are suitable for injection molding.
