Additive manufacturing enables the build-up of complex three-dimensional geometries layer-by-layer through fully-additive processes that are resource-friendly and eco-friendly. The components are used as circuit carriers, as well as mold inserts. Printing technologies, particularly digital printing technologies, such as ink-jet and aerosol jet technologies, allow individual functionalization with conductive structures and sensor structures.
