Smart 4 Europe – Catalysing Digitisation throughout Europe

“Digitisation” enables enhanced or new functionalities in most products and services. It aims at arriving at any industry and sector, big or small and wherever situated in Europe. Especially SMEs from non-high technology sectors need easy access to digitisation technologies. The new project “Smart 4 Europe” will thus offer a central contact and information point.

The European Commission strongly supports the digital change under the initiative "Smart Anything Everywhere". Its existing website (www.smartyanythingeverywhere.eu) is now extended with a broad Innovation Portal acting as a central contact point. A technology radar identifies new technologies digitisation can profit from in future. A close collaboration with regional and national initiatives is to build synergies, leverage investment in digitisation and stimulate economic growth.

Additionally, “Smart 4 Europe” enables projects focusing on digitisation joint trade fair appearances, coordinates their communication activities as well as chances for new businesses and commercial exploitation of the results. Events and internet platforms to exchange approved processes and best practice experience complete the offer.

The project is driven by a strong consortium of partners (digital innovation hubs) that have already demonstrated their commitment and have been engaged for several years in shaping the SAE Initiative.
