Mobile device to generate electrical energy from non-uniform human movement to run small electrical consumers (move2power)
Systems which are mobile and wearable on the body are becoming increasingly important in medical technology as well as for lifestyle applications. Their power supply is based primarily on batteries however. The field of energy harvesting is developing principles and devices with which energy from the environment is converted to electrical energy. This renders redundant the problems of maintaining and charging battery systems. In this project, energy is drawn explicitly from the movement of the human leg, and made available to the application's electronics.
