European Digital Innovation Hub Südwest (EDIH Südwest)

The European Digital Innovation Hub Südwest (EDIH Südwest) is the central contact point in the southwest of Baden-Württemberg to support companies, the public sector, but also founders to dynamically respond to digital challenges and become more competitive.

The digitalization of products and services to generate competitive advantages continues to pose major challenges for many companies and institutions. In order to provide the easiest possible access to the technologies required for this purpose, the European Union is establishing regional innovation centers for digitalization that are also networked at the European level. These so-called "European Digital Innovation Hubs" (EDIHs) bundle the various offerings and expertise of the individual players in their respective regions and are thus a direct point of contact for companies. In the southwest of Baden-Württemberg, the EDIH Southwest comprises 24 players coordinated by Hahn-Schickard, who see themselves as service providers for digitalization in the region and can look back on many years of experience and expertise in the areas of consulting, training and technology transfer.

Corresponding offers for regional industry, the public sector and founders include, among other activities, consulting, workshops and training courses, feasibility studies, access to laboratories and test environments, development projects for functional models ("proof of principle"), support to find financing opportunities or suitable personnel, as well as the observation of markets and trends.
