Our technologies for the molding of microparts, encapsulation of electronic components, or for functional microintegration are the foundation of many application areas – including MID technologies, microfluidics, micro-optics, and medical technology, as well as the sensors and actuators. Moreover, Hahn-Schickard also offers processing of other materials, particularly ceramics, via the injection molding technologies that are customary in the area of plastics engineering.
Our service offering includes configuration and manufacturing of injection molding and molding tools for the smallest or high-precision molded parts via precision tool making and ultra-precision machining. In this way, we process ceramics, thermoplastics and thermosets via injection molding, two-component injection molding, transfer molding and film-assisted molding. We also provide processes for further processing of parts using selective metalization, thermobonding, film insert molding, and encapsulation of parts.
In the rapid prototyping area, Hahn-Schickard offers technologies of generative processes, including high-precision 3D printing. Thanks to production-optimized processes, tools can also be manufactured in rapid tooling processes, this means you can procure prototypes in real-part quality from us. With process development, we use these tools to produce the first serial-production products for you.
