Electrochemical Biosensors

Molecular point-of-care diagnostics for the electrochemical detection of nucleic acids, proteins and small molecules

We have many years of experience in the research and development of optical and electrochemical biosensors. Our focus is on electrochemical assays with solid-phase probes, the biofunctionalization of surfaces - especially electrodes - and their integration into microfluidic test carriers. Together with partners, we also develop customized measurement environments through to portable functional samples.

Robust electrochemical assay integration for sensitive multiplex detection

We develop sensitive and selective biosensors for different analyte classes. A particular focus is on universally functionalized electrodes. The functionalized electrodes are suitable for the detection of different biomarkers, with specific components in the reaction liquid ensuring selectivity.

Devices and equipment

Our equipment includes various (multi-channel) potentiostats that can be used to carry out a wide range of electrochemical methods. Electrochemical measurements in temperature-controlled 48-well plates are also possible, for example to optimize assays.
