However, separate sensor systems from various vendors frequently use different or even proprietary communications protocols. The modular sensor technology adapter gateway (STAG) helps to reduce the integration complexity by abstracting various different sensor communication systems with a unified model and automatically constructing the desired model within the IoT Platform.
