Inertial sensor-based distress call trigger (InNot) with motion pattern-based triggering

A robust distress call system, to work with gesture recognition, is to be developed with CoSi Elektronik GmbH. It must be possible to integrate the finished system into a wristband and to operate it for longer than 1 year without a change of battery. An acceleration sensor and magnetometer are used for orientation determination. Gesture recognition is intended to reduce the number of distress calls made inadvertently (as compared to distress calls triggered by pressing a button).
