Efficient, selective and flexible production of hydrogen from seawater (H2Meer)

Development of membrane electrode units for the production of hydrogen from seawater.

In the H2Meer project, membrane electrode units with novel catalysts, membranes and porous transport layers are being developed to enable operation of an electrolyzer with real seawater. Based on components of alkaline electrolysis, a suitable test environment for operation with seawater will be set up and operating modes optimized.
