Reagent pre-storage in double-chamber packages for use in lab-on-a-chip systems (DuoPack)

In portable lab-on-a-chip systems reagents have to be stored to ensure long-term stability. In the project DuoPack, individual packages that contain multiple sealed reagents are produced.

In portable lab-on-a-chip systems reagents have to be stored to ensure long-term stability. In the project DuoPack, individual packages that contain multiple sealed reagents are produced.
The individual packages are produced on an industrial packaging machine with which liquid and dry reagents that are required for (bio)chemical assays can be sealed. It is also possible to seal two individual reagents separately in one single package. E.g. liquid buffer solution and dry reagent can be stored individually and shortly before usage the package can be opened and the two reagents mixed.
