Development of a modular, fully automated production line for microfluidic analysis systems (FlexAMPIVD)
The project aims to set up an automated production line for in-vitro diagnostics, validated by the production of the PsorX-Lab disk for the fully automated diagnosis of skin diseases.
SMEs and young innovative companies in the diagnostics industry face major challenges when setting up their supply chain. In order to be able to offer new diagnostic tests (in-vitro diagnostics, IVD) at marketable prices and consistent quality, the automation of production is an important prerequisite. SMEs are at a major disadvantage here, particularly in terms of financial resources and the smaller quantities that can be produced, with negative effects on the healthcare sector. This is where the present project of the consortium partners Dermagnostix GmbH, Hahn-Schickard-Gesellschaft für angewandte Forschung e.V. and Stein Automation GmbH & Co. KG. The overall aim of the project is to set up an automated production line for IVDs and to validate it based on the production of the PsorX-Lab disk (fully automated diagnostics of skin diseases) from Dermagnostix.
