Packaging platform for the automation of biochemical kits for nucleic acid analysis in standard lab devices (AutoKit)
The goal of the AutoKit research project is automation of a complete workflow for performing real-time PCR-based verifications using a single-use cartridge in standard lab devices. This enables effective automation for low to medium sample throughput. The use of standard lab devices saves buying expensive laboratory equipment.
The goal of the AutoKit research project is automation of a complete workflow for performing real-time PCR-based verifications using a single-use cartridge in standard lab devices. This enables effective automation for low to medium sample throughput. The use of standard lab devices saves buying expensive laboratory equipment. Because the entire workflow is automated (from lysis of the sample material to production of the PCR preparation), the requirements of personnel and lab infrastructure are reduced considerably, meaning deployment as a point-of-care system is possible.
