Process development and transfer

From design support through to creation of the mask layout, to production of the first prototype

All technological processes for silicon micro-mechanics are provided in our clean room as stable and qualified standard processes. These form the basis for component-specific process sequences for producing micro-mechanical components. Our services comprise all development of the manufacturing process from design support through to the creation of the mask layout, to production of the first prototype. After completion of development, serial production of between 100,000 and 1 million silicon chips per year is possible. 

With the continuous coordination of technological processes with large chip suppliers in the MEMS field, the manufacturing process developed by us can be transferred to mass production. In addition to new developments of manufacturing processes, we can also provide design rules for the processes implemented at Hahn-Schickard. This gives users the option to use an existing process to manufacture their designs. Saving on initialization costs enables the timely production of initial demos and prototypes.
