Prototype for the additive manufacturing of structured 3D electronics presented at Formnext

Together with one of the world’s leading manufacturer of high-end machines for plastics processing, Arburg, we will be presenting a prototype for the additive manufacturing of 3D-printed electronics at Formnext 2024 in Frankfurt from November 19 to 22.

The protoype and technology are developed as part of a project funded by InvestBW consists of a capacitive sensor on a glass fiber-reinforced polyamide substrate (Freeformer) with printed conductive metaltraces (StarJet) and surface-mounted components. Initial test runs for the technological integration of hardware and software have already been successfully completed.

The combination of the ARBURG Plastic Freeforming (APF) for robust and high-precise polymer parts from ARBURGadditive's and the StarJet technology for bulk metal printing opens up new possibilities for rapid prototyping of electronic assemblies, as a supplement to traditional production methods.

Visit us at Formnext 2024 in hall 12.1, at the Arburg stand D79.
