Actome is a "TOP 50 Start-up 2019"
Out of 741 start-ups, the spin-off from Hahn-Schickard and the University of Freiburg was ranked 29th in the top 50 ranking of the "For Founders" initiative.
Actome GmbH's analysis method, which translates protein complexes into DNA codes, enables for the first time ever the precise determination of large numbers of proteins and their interactions in the human body. Actome hopes that this will help its clients to develop personalised drugs and dia-gnostic methods for patients. In 2017, Dr. Peter Koltay and Dr. Csaba Jeney (both Hahn-Schickard) founded the biotechnology company with Attila Karsai.
For the sixth time in a row, the team of the founder portal "Für-Gründer.de" has identified the top 50 start-ups of the year. The 2019 ranking is based on an analysis of 147 start-up competitions that last year awarded prizes to 741 start-ups from tens of thousands of applications.
