The alliance „Allianz Industrie 4.0 Baden-Württemberg“ takes advantage of the digitalization to turn the State of Baden-Württemberg into a worldwide pioneer in the field of Industry 4.0. Nils Schmid, the Minister of Finance and Economics of the State of Baden-Württemberg, established the initiative in order to cluster competencies in production and in information and communication technologies, to gather the main players active in the aforementioned fields, and to support industrial SMEs on their way to Industry 4.0 offering technological transfer.

Entrepreneurial innovation is Germany’s most valuable resource. The German Federation of Industrial Research Associations - AiF in short - is the leading national organization promoting applied research and development benefiting Germany’s small and medium-sized businesses. It builds up alliances together with partners from industry, science and government in order to turn ideas into successful products, processes or services in the market. As an industry-driven organization, the AiF aims at initiating applied research and development (R&D) for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), as well as qualifying the new generation of academics in innovative fields and organizing the distribution of scientific knowledge.

microTEC Südwest is a technology cluster in southwestern Germany that unites many sectors. In the growth-oriented field of microsystem technology, microTEC Südwest with its over 360 cluster partners is one of the largest technology networks in Europe.

Technology Mountains sees itself as a link between business and science – building bridges and fostering collaboration in cross-disciplinary development projects. This way the technological leadership position of its members is secured and developed. The goal is the systematic promotion of synergies – driving innovation and networking to the next level.

VDI/VDE Innovation + Technik GmbH is a service provider in the field of innovation and technology for customers in Germany and all over the world. VDI/VD-IT analyse, support and organize innovation and technology for clients with political, research, industry and finance backgrounds.

Hahn-Schickard is engaged as an active member of EPoSS e.V., a European network of companies, research organisations and universities with the aim to promote the research topic “smart systems” and to foster its related initiatives in Europe. Strategic research agendas as result of EPoSS working groups influence directly numerous open calls.  EPoSS Website
